No more P.
08.26.05 (5:42 am) [edit]
Congrats to the Today show for the exclusive on the Puff Daddy Combs or whatever the hell is name is now story. I am sure America is so excited that you covered that monumental event, when Sean Combs announced he is taking the P. out of his name.
America kills me sometimes.
America kills me sometimes.
A four hour erection.

Imagine that. You pop a little blue pill thinking you will be more "effective" and it turns out you are more "effective" for over 4 hours. Your mate is exhausted and freaked out because you have this boner that won't go away.
What does one say to the doctor in that case?
Um, yeah doc...I was just really excited. She walked up to me and it was like Raquel Welch in that B.C. movie.

Your tax dollars at use...

Well, it's official. Our governor is the first governor to be convicted of crimes. Notice I said crimes. Ethics, the major part of a speech he gave at Xavier University a couple of years ago, seems to be a difficult area for him.
So he was charged, plead no contest to the four counts, and was fined $4000. The tax payers of Ohio probably spent that in court fees to prosecute him.
And what of the BTK killer. This to amazes me. The headline last night on cnn.com was "BTK Killer gets life sentence." Really? Wow...I expected probation or at least community service. Life in prison for ADMITTING to killing more than 10 people. Who would have seen that coming....life with no parole. I am sure glad we went through all that BS during sentencing to find out he was serving ten consecutive life terms.
At least we have some nice rare coins in Ohio to look at. At least I hope we do. Maybe Noe and Taft used them as ball markers when they played golf together.
Let's end on a light note with a quote from Major League.
"What the hell league you been playin in?" "California Penal."

Chicky movie quote game.
08.18.05 (9:28 am) [edit]
In honor of wiccachicky, I have decided to post another movie quote from one of my favorite movies. See if you can guess it, without cheating (that means you L).
"Because....some of the most important decisions aren't made in the boardroom......they are made in the bathroom."

Useless plane crash information.
08.17.05 (7:18 am) [edit]
I have a question that has been bothering me all morning long.
Why do news outlets report things like:
"Boy was alive when Greek plane crashed, autopsies report."
So what? So what if the Pilot was frozen or breathing or anything. Once we know why the plane crashed, leave it alone!
On a lighter note, Coke ZERO is pretty good. It's even better with a little Jack in it. Pass it on....

Here is a quote from a movie I love. See if you can get it. If you do (without cheating), I will be very impressed.
"Look at this fucking guy."

Get burnt.
08.15.05 (3:58 pm) [edit]
I have noticed an influx of burnt orange colored cars on the road these days....
has anyone else?
has anyone else?
This is for R-O-X.

Blast off!

Ok, this is a big deal and America in general doesn't seem to care. A Mars spacecraft was launched today:
(CNN) A spacecraft blasted off today on a seven-month journey to Mars where it will gather more data on the red planet than all combined previous missions. The Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter lifted off from Cape Canaveral, Florida, on an Atlas V rocket. "Surveying for the deepest insights into the mysterious evolution of Mars!" NASA commentator George Diller said after liftoff. The probe is expected to orbit Mars for four years.
[i]I wish we could get more excited about our space program.
Did you know about the launch today?[/i]

So I decided to write a decent blog entry today, my first in quite some time. I wrote about this and that--spending about 20 minutes on it, and then I clicked publish this post....
In typical t-blog form, it never made it....
So I am left to pick up the pieces of what once was a decent blog entry. Anyway--I have been reading more blogs lately and catching up on some of my favorites. I am sad to read that a few people are having hard times and others just don't feel like blogging anymore. I know how the last one feels.
I don't think I will ever blog regularly again, at least not here, but I will come back and check in. After you sift through the drug and porn blogs, and get past the rude morons who can't live unless they are acting disgruntled incognito, this place has been the source of some nice friendships!
All I can say is (and this was the subject of my post that never made it), it is almost time for football. In fact, I am watching pre-season NFL as we speak.
Seriously people--I'll be around and when I do come by, I look forward to hearing what is new in your lives. I have to go--I need to read my Vermont travel guide.....

08.02.05 (4:53 am) [edit]
[b]Don't listen to anyone who tells you that you can't do this or that. That's nonsense. Make up your mind, you'll never use crutches or a stick, then have a go at everything. Go to school, join in all the games you can. Go anywhere you want to. But never, never let them persuade you that things are too difficult or impossible[/b].
